”There are places I remember
All my life though some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain”
In My Life by Beatles
The Highway 21, which leads to the Saana Fell, is 200 kilometers long and very, very narrow and straight road. We saw reindeers and few cars every now and than, but mostly it was only us and the wilderness – unique nature unlike anywhere else in Finland. Pure and raw.
When we finally reached Saana, climbed up 4 kilometers and approximately 740 steps and than stood on top of the Saana Fell, I watched the view and felt the wind in my hair and though about the fact that I was breathing the cleanest air in Europe.
I miss that place. I miss that feeling.
